I have been an independent contractor working in the battlefield with FORCON for over eight years now. My time with FORCON has been both rewarding and challenging, but the relationship has been built upon mutual trust and respect. As an expert you will be independently responsible for your own investigations and engineering evaluations; however, you have the resources of a company with managers/experts who have been in the trenches and have your back. I would welcome the opportunity to elaborate further on my role as a Board-Certified Forensic Engineer with Forcon International, based out of Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

As an independent contractor, I have been with FORCON since 2015 and located in Annapolis, Maryland. I hold a Master of Science in Metallurgy and Materials Degree from Lehigh University. Being partially retired, the work and clients are interesting. Your investigations are often effective in resolving a claim against an organization or small business that may have been inadvertently falsely accused of being responsible for an incident. This is always personally rewarding. My areas of investigations have included: HVAC Systems; automobile mechanical failures and fires; medical gas plumbing; fire suppression systems including residential and commercial; printed circuit board fabrication, assembly and quality control and insurance company technical liaison.

Consulting for Forcon has been the best decision of my career. I began as a forensic structural engineer and expert witness work in 1995. I was also a Forcon employee, managing the Florida property and casualty department, from 2007 to 2017. I enjoy being able to dictate my schedule, take cases that work for me, and decline cases that do not. Currently, I do structural cases, including homeowner insurance claims, and construction defect claims or lawsuits. I am also an expert for premises liability claims or lawsuits (slip or trip and fall). Work usually involves a site inspection and a verbal or written report to the client. I am licensed as a PE in a total of six states. Forcon allows me flexibility, which is essential for my "semi-retirement". I recommend joining the Team!

I have provided expert consulting services to FORCON for over 35 years. My field of practice is structural investigations to include both component failures and partial or complete structural collapses, but I have extended that to include both architectural and structural construction defects, slip-falls, and other associated issues. Working with FORCON has been exceptionally challenging and rewarding. The challenge is the variations I encounter with each investigation. In many investigations are similar in nature, no two are the same. This presents continual opportunities to learn and grow. These investigations also provide opportunities to see how others perceive and implement structural designs and to learn from their successes and failures. I also get to see firsthand how mother nature acts on our built environment and the effects mother nature has on these built environments.
